only our historical sites but preserving the history
of our town and surrounding area through an education
of our past, an appreciation of our present and

I grew up
on South Road and have deep ancestral roots in
Harwinton. My Grandmother was a Barber and my
Great Grandmother was a Catlin, making me a 5th
Great-Grandson of Abijah Catlin, one of our earliest
and most respected settlers.
I am a member
of the Harwinton Historic District and Historic
Properties Commission, The Harwinton Historical
Society, The Harwinton Agricultural Society and
am the President of a youth oriented non-profit
organization in Torrington. I am also the Barber
Family Historian and the self appointed Historian
of the Plaskett Family.
